CV GUIDE

Let your CV clearly show what you can bring

A modern CV does not need to be long. It needs to be specific, easy to scan and tailored to the role you want.

3 practical steps

Employers want to understand your experience, skills and contribution quickly. Give them that picture from the first few lines.

01

Do not send exactly the same CV for every vacancy.

Before you apply, read the description of the specific role and identify which knowledge, tools or experience are emphasised most. These are usually the points the employer considers most important.

02

Add detail to general descriptions

Do not write only a general title such as “Customer service”. Add one short sentence about what you handled in the role: “Customer service and daily order management”. For example, an office employee could write “Organising files, communicating with clients and supporting the day-to-day running of the office”, while a social media role might say “Creating and scheduling posts for the company’s social media channels.”

03

Keep the structure clear

Use simple sections, consistent headings and an easy reading order. Check dates, contact details and spelling before every application.
