Cookies Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Summary in one paragraph. Jobtimist uses the strictly necessary session cookie that keeps you logged in. We use only the optional tools shown below, only after a separate express choice. We do not use audiences, remarketing, Customer Match, enhanced conversions, advertising profiling or personalisation.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include browser local storage, tracking pixels and device identifiers.
Cookies are divided into strictly necessary ones, without which the website does not work, and optional ones, which serve statistics, advertising or personalisation. Optional cookies require your prior consent.
2. List of cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
JOBTIMIST_SESS |
Maintains your session: your login, the selected language, confirmation messages and the security token that protects forms against attacks. | Strictly necessary | Until the browser is closed | First-party (jobtimist.gr) |
_ga and _ga_… |
Maintain aggregate usage measurement only after your express optional analytics choice. | Optional analytics | Up to 2 years, according to the Google Analytics service setting | First-party (jobtimist.gr) |
_gcl_… |
Support only Google Ads confirmed-purchase measurement after a separate express choice. They are not used for audiences, remarketing or personalisation. | Optional Google Ads measurement | Up to 90 days, according to the Google Ads service setting | First-party (jobtimist.gr) |
The essential JOBTIMIST_SESS cookie contains no
personal data. It contains only a random identifier with which
the server retrieves your session. It is not used to track your behaviour
and is not shared with third parties.
Optional _ga and _ga_… cookies are created only
after analytics acceptance and are used by Google Analytics for aggregate
measurement. Jobtimist does not send GA4 email, telephone number, names,
account/job/application identifiers, CVs, free text, search terms or URLs
containing parameters.
Optional Google Ads measurement receives only the confirmed purchase, value in EUR and a non-reversible technical deduplication reference. It does not receive email, telephone, name, account, job, application or payment identifiers, free text, search terms or URLs containing parameters.
As with any connection to a Google service, once you expressly choose this feature Google processes the necessary connection technical data (such as IP address and browser information) under its own policy. Jobtimist does not add identity data, content or parameterised URLs to the event data.
Language is not a cookie. When you switch from Greek to English, the choice is stored inside the session and not in a separate cookie. That is why the language returns to the default when you close the browser entirely.
3. What we do NOT use
For full transparency, this website does not use:
- audience, retargeting or personalisation cookies, such as Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads remarketing or Customer Match;
- social media buttons or plugins that set cookies;
- embedded maps or videos from external providers;
- shopping cart or e-shop cookies;
- profiling or advertising audience cookies;
- third-party cookies of any kind.
4. Choosing and withdrawing optional analytics
Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006, together with Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, requires prior consent for storing information on a user's device, except storage strictly necessary for the service you requested.
On the first message, you can accept all available optional measurement or choose essential cookies only. In Settings, you can also allow GA4 without Google Ads or the reverse. Until you allow the relevant tool, its Google tag is not loaded and no event is sent. Your choice is stored locally on your device, not in your Jobtimist account.
You can change your choice at any time. A withdrawal stops future collection on the current device; it cannot withdraw data that was lawfully sent before the change.
5. Fonts and external resources
The website's fonts are loaded from our own servers and not from an external service. This means your IP address is not sent to a third-party provider in order to display text.
This is a deliberate choice. Loading fonts from an external content delivery network constitutes, according to case law, a transfer of personal data requiring a legal basis. With local hosting the issue does not arise at all. The same applies to the flag images in the language selector.
One external resource remains, and we state it explicitly. The
interface icons come from the Font Awesome library,
loaded from the cdnjs.cloudflare.com content delivery
network. During loading your IP address becomes known to that
provider, as with any request on the internet. The library
does not set cookies and does not collect browsing
data. The legal basis is legitimate interest in interface
functionality, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. reCAPTCHA
The registration form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated sign-ups. This mechanism is loaded only on that page and not across the whole website.
reCAPTCHA collects technical data, such as IP address and interaction information, and may transfer it to Google. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the security of the service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information is available in Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Browser settings
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging in to your account and submitting forms, as the server will not be able to recognise your session between two pages.
Anonymous browsing of the website, that is searching and viewing listings without logging in, works normally and without cookies.
8. Future changes
This list is updated whenever a cookie is added or removed. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
