1.1 Scope of the service
Jobtimist is a digital platform for publishing and searching job vacancies, creating candidate profiles, submitting applications and providing related visibility services to employers. It provides the technical infrastructure that enables communication between employers and candidates.
Jobtimist is not the employer of candidates, is not a party to any employment contract that may be concluded between an employer and a candidate, provides no guarantee of hiring or of finding staff, and does not replace the legal, tax or professional due diligence that each user must carry out.
1.2 Prices and taxes
The prices, duration and features of each package are shown on the relevant page and confirmed before an order is completed. Before payment, the total amount payable is displayed, together with clarification of whether it includes VAT or other statutory charges. No charge is applied that has not been disclosed to the customer before the order.
1.3 Applicable framework
The operation of Jobtimist is governed, as applicable, by Greek and European law, in particular Presidential Decree 131/2003 on electronic commerce, Law 2251/1994 on consumer protection, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Law 4624/2019, Law 3471/2006, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on Digital Services, and Law 5099/2024.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of jobtimist.gr, user accounts, job publishing features, candidate profiles, applications, alerts and every related service.
By creating an account or using a feature that requires acceptance of these Terms, the user declares that they have read and accept them. The Privacy Policy is an information notice regarding the processing of personal data and is not presented as mandatory "consent" where processing is based on contract, legal obligation or legitimate interest.
3. Eligibility
Accounts may be created by persons at least eighteen (18) years of age and by lawfully established businesses or organisations. A person acting on behalf of an employer declares that they hold the necessary authorisation to register details, publish vacancies and enter into transactions.
Should Jobtimist decide in future to permit accounts for minors, it will first implement a separate process for information, age verification and, where required, parental consent.
4. Accounts and security
Users must:
- provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information;
- keep their login credentials confidential;
- not transfer their account to third parties without authorisation;
- immediately notify support@jobtimist.gr of suspicious or unauthorised use;
- not create misleading, fake or multiple accounts in order to circumvent restrictions.
Jobtimist may request reasonable evidence verifying identity, professional capacity or lawful representation, particularly from employers, before publication or before granting access to candidate data.
5. The role of Jobtimist
Jobtimist acts as a provider of digital infrastructure for storing and displaying information submitted by users. It does not review every piece of information in advance and does not guarantee:
- that every vacancy, employer, candidate or qualification is genuine;
- that a position will remain available for the entire period initially stated;
- that a specific number of applications will be received, or that a hire will take place;
- that every user will respond or act lawfully after contact;
- the solvency, suitability or conduct of any user.
Users must carry out their own checks before sending documents, paying money, attending an interview or entering into any agreement.
6. Employer obligations
Employers must publish only genuine, existing or specifically planned positions, and must clearly state their identity, the role, the location or working arrangement, the type of employment, the essential requirements and the terms of the position.
Employers must also:
- comply with employment, social security, tax and immigration law;
- not publish terms that constitute unlawful direct or indirect discrimination;
- use gender-neutral titles and descriptions, unless a specific lawful exception applies;
- provide the candidate, before the interview or, if no interview takes place, before the contract is concluded, with information on the initial pay or its range and on any applicable collective agreement;
- not ask for the candidate's pay history;
- not require any payment from a candidate for hiring, equipment, a "deposit", training or any other item, unless expressly permitted by law and disclosed with full transparency;
- process candidate data only for lawful recruitment purposes and in accordance with their own privacy notice;
- delete or anonymise candidate data when it is no longer necessary, unless another lawful basis for retention applies.
Pay transparency. Law 5316/2026 (Official Gazette, 6 July 2026), which transposes Directive (EU) 2023/970, brings into force from 1 November 2026 the provisions on pay transparency prior to recruitment. Jobtimist encourages the publication of pay ranges already now as a standard of quality and transparency, and will require it from that date.
7. Candidate obligations
Candidates must provide truthful information regarding their identity, education, experience and qualifications. It is not permitted to upload third-party documents, forged certificates, misleading information or content that infringes the rights of others.
A recommendation for your safety. Do not include in your CV or profile identity card or passport numbers, tax numbers, social security numbers, bank account details, medical data, your full date of birth, or any other information that is not necessary for assessing a position.
8. Public and private profile visibility
A candidate's profile and CV are not made public or accessible to employers by default. Searchability by verified employers is enabled only if the candidate explicitly selects the relevant setting, and it may be disabled at any time.
When a candidate applies for a specific position, the information they chose to send is disclosed to the corresponding employer. Following that disclosure, the employer acts as an independent controller in respect of their own use of the data.
9. Prohibited content and conduct
Jobtimist must not be used for:
- false, non-existent, misleading or unauthorised job vacancies;
- unlawful, undeclared or abusive forms of employment;
- discrimination on grounds of sex, race, colour, national or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability or chronic illness, age, family or social status, sexual orientation, gender identity or characteristics, or any other protected characteristic;
- pyramid schemes, unlawful recruitment, fraud or requests for advance payment from candidates;
- collecting CVs without a specific and lawful recruitment purpose;
- extracting, copying, bulk downloading, reselling or building a database from listings or profiles;
- sending unsolicited commercial messages;
- malware, automated access, scraping, or actions that burden or circumvent the security of the service;
- infringement of intellectual property, trade marks, privacy or other third-party rights.
10. Review, restriction and removal of content
Jobtimist may review reports, request clarifications, temporarily restrict visibility, reject or remove content, and suspend accounts where there is reasonable indication of illegality, fraud, risk, or breach of these Terms or of third-party rights.
Where a restriction is imposed on user content, Jobtimist informs the person concerned, where required, of the decision, the contractual or legal basis, the essential facts, any use of automated means, and the available means of challenging the decision. An exception may apply where such information is prohibited by law or would jeopardise an investigation, security or a third person.
11. Payments
Paid services, packages, publication credits, promoted listings and their duration are described before purchase. An order is completed only after confirmation of the total amount and of the obligation to pay.
More specific rules are set out in the Payments, Cancellations and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Intellectual property rights
The software, design, graphics, distinctive signs, databases and content created by Jobtimist are protected by intellectual and industrial property law.
Users retain the rights in the content they submit. They grant Jobtimist a non-exclusive, revocable and limited licence to store, technically reproduce, format and display that content solely to the extent required to provide the service and in accordance with their account settings. For the promoted display of a specific listing, the employer also permits its display on the selected promotion channels for the agreed duration.
13. Availability and changes
Jobtimist strives for continuous and secure operation of the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It may carry out maintenance, upgrades or necessary changes. If a material change affects an active paid service, the customer is informed and receives reasonable remediation, such as an extension, a credit or a proportionate refund, as appropriate.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jobtimist is not liable for the acts or omissions of employers, candidates or third parties, for the content of interviews or employment agreements, for loss of a professional opportunity, or for failure to achieve any specific outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, in particular liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor does it restrict mandatory consumer rights.
For customers acting exclusively in the course of a professional or business activity, Jobtimist's total contractual liability for direct, proven damage is limited, as a rule, to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless the law requires otherwise.
15. Suspension and account deletion
Users may request deletion of their account from their settings or via support@jobtimist.gr. Deletion does not affect data that must be retained for tax, accounting, evidential or legal reasons.
Jobtimist may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated breach, fraud, risk to users or security, or to comply with a lawful order. Where reasonable and safe, prior notice and an opportunity to remedy are given.
16. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be amended for legal, technical or operational reasons. The applicable version displays the date it was updated. For material changes affecting active accounts, timely notice is given. Where fresh acceptance is required, continued use of specific features is subject to active confirmation.
17. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Mandatory consumer rights and the rules on international jurisdiction remain unaffected.
Before taking any legal action, you may submit a complaint to support@jobtimist.gr. For consumer disputes you may contact the Greek Consumer's Ombudsman.
